2.1.19 CHANGE TO APPOINTMENT BOOKING SYSTEM
The Red Practice is constantly striving to improve access for our patients to appointments. With this in mind we have introduced a new system from Wednesday 2nd January 2019.
We will no longer be offering on the day appointments to patients that queue up in the morning. This will free up our reception staff to answer the phone and mean that appointments are allocated to the most urgent patients on the day. Therefore no more need to queue up in the cold!
All appointments for the day will be available to book either online from 7.30am via our website or by telephone from 8.30am. Additional appointments are released at 8.30am for those patients who prefer to book by telephone.
We have increased our availability and type of appointments :
Extended access appointments with evening and weekend appointments including Physiotherapy and Nurse appointments
LIVI App - free online video consultation with a NHS GP at a time to suit you via your smart phone or tablet.
Please ask the receptionists about these options.
We are confident that this new system will free up more urgent appointments for patients who are unwell as well as offering more pre bookable appointments.
So from now onwards please do not queue for an appointment at the health centre before it opens, as you will not be able to make an appointment with the receptionist for that day.
